Britta has been teaching yoga since 1999 and has completed a number of training courses in various traditions.   (She previously worked as a social and political researcher for 7 years after completing a BSc in Linguistics and International Relations.)

Initially Britta trained as a Sivananda Yoga teacher in India, and has since completed courses in Astanga with Manju Patthabi Jois and in Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Shiva Rea.

She has continued her training with the British Wheel of Yoga and is licensed to teach antenatal classes (Birthlight) and children (YogaBugs).

Britta has also studied Thai Yoga Massage and holds an ITEC diploma in Anatomy and Physiology.

Britta's yoga classes are based on a system of therapeutic postures (asanas) woven together by rhythmical breathing, creating a dynamic, purifying yoga sequence which revitalises the body and leaves the mind focused and vibrant.  The postures help to align the body and spine as well as improving concentration and building strength, flexibility and balance.

Britta's approach to teaching is very practical, acting as a guide for students and providing them with the  tools to be able to experience the physical and psycological effects of yoga for themselves.
